Action compatibility
This action is compatible with all Azure AD accounts except B2B and OnPremise synced accounts. It is also unavailable for accounts with an existing Phone MFA method.

Action Description
Adding a phone call multifactor authentication method will allow a user to authenticate themselves by receiving and confirming a phone call during MFA logins.
When to use this action?
This action may help users regain access if they lose all second-factor methods (e.g., their iPhone fell into a lake, and both the phone call authentication method and the authenticator app are lost). If another phone number is already registered, Helpdesk operators must Delete the Phone MFA method before adding a new one.
Please follow your organization's process and guidelines before adding a phone MFA method for a user.
